I am on Radio National Today

Good morning!
For those of you keen on the amazing Clarice Lispector, I am talking about her on Radio National today.
The program is Books and Arts and I am part of the monthly Latin American book club.
I have also bumped the posts I’ve done (many moons ago) on Clarice Lispector if you are interested in taking a peek.
Enjoy!
Lisa
Still my number one favorite novel. Is there a recording of the program I can access here in the USA?

Hey there Tom!
You can listen to the Podcast here.
It was a fun experience in the end – and as you’ve said – its ALWAYS a pleasure to re visit that amazing novel!

Thanks – I just listened to it and very much enjoyed the conversation. So many layers to that story and her writing overall. I liked your ‘Book of Job’ idea (which happens to be very much along the lines of a story I am currently writing). There is something essential about Macabea, elemental, the force of nature, a creature stripped of everything except the will to live, to dream, to hope. I was glad you all talked a little about the movie too, which is where I first found the story (in 1987 in San Francisco, with much better subtitles than the version currently available on DVD).
